At the Unbridaled Expo I was introduced to Mad Maude Press . They’ve been building their letterpress print shop since September of ’06, and now they’re making their first splash onto the scene with some seriously groundbreaking wedding designs.
But if tradition is your thing, they do that too. In fact, though they are pushing at the boundaries in a lot of ways, their style is rooted in tradition. Their oldest printing press is from the 1870’s, and it performs basically the same function Gutenberg perfected in the 1450’s. If you want the best looking wedding invitations, they just have to be made on an old fashion letterpress. Why? Because every letter is naturally debossed. Every word has texture and that is the famous letterpress look.
What’s also great about Mad Maude Press is that they’re right here in Philadelphia, so you can meet with them to discuss your project in person. That way, you can be sure that your invitations will be just what you want— the perfect teaser for the special day that’s yet-to-come.
You can learn more about Mad Maude Press at http://www.madmaude.com , or read a review at http://www.philly.com/philly/entertainment/9451537.html I found by the Philadelphia Inquirer. If you contact them, be sure to ask for one of their die-cut business cards. They're downright sexy.
