Some people choose to have an actual guest book at their wedding. For those alternative brides who want to do things a little differently, but still have something to keep with your guest's names and well wishes there are a few other options. One really cool idea that I've seen is to take a photograph of you and your spouse together and mat it in a frame with a wide mat. That way people can sign the mat around your picture, like this:
Another unique idea is to have something for guests to fill out. Give them a fill-in-the-blank type prompt or ask them to write down a favorite recipe or quote about marriage on a card. They can drop the card into a basket or hang them on something like a cluster of branches and then you will have their cards to look back on later. Something like this works really well, and looks cool also:

Whatever you choose to do as a guest book, try to incorporate your own personality into it and think about what you want to have to remember your wedding day by. If you want cards, a signed mat on a photograph, a dish engraved with your guests' signatures, or just an actual guest book make sure you're picking the option you'll look back on as a good choice for you.
