We asked blogger Rachel from Marry Me Ink what some of her thoughts and tips were on wedding planning especially for tattooed brides and this is what she said!
Q: The one thing tattooed brides can forget when wedding planning
A: Take the time out to relax!When planning a wedding, you can be too occupied making sure everyone else is going to be happy on the day. For example – choosing the menu or getting the seating plan “perfect” (Trust me – I know family politics are hard to work around to make sure no one is left out or left upset) Why not provide a buffet and open seating instead? It will make the day much more relaxed and one less thing for you to worry about!
Q: What are the top 5 things tattooed brides must do?
A:
1. SHOW OFF YOUR TATTOOS! You got them for a reason right?
2. Choose a dress that is YOU! Don’t buy a swing dress because the magazines say it’s “in” this season – Buy it because you love it and look damn hot in it!
3. Research into finding THE BEST wedding photographer there is. Seriously – I’ve seen bad photography and also had brides send me their friends’ Instagram snaps instead!
4. FIND THE BEST VENUE! I love seeing couples get married in quirky locations! Even if you have an outdoor wedding – MAKE IT KICK ASS!
5. MAKE YOUR WEDDING DIFFERENT! I don’t mean have themes coming out of your ears so there’s too much to take in. Something as simple as having your tables themed instead of numbers or even have exciting entertainment for your evening guests!
Q: What is one trend in the wedding industry you are excited about?
A: I absolutely LOVE brides in colour! Pastel coloured wedding dresses are making more of a show for Spring/Summer – I’d love to see more beautiful brides in peach and blue for their weddings!
