Black Diamonds for Alternative Brides

Carbonado, generally known as black diamonds, are a great wedding and engagement ring option for alternative brides. They are actually real diamonds, but with a different structure. They absorb light instead of reflect it. More traditional clear and yellow diamonds have light that comes in, bounces off the surface, and the goes out. They are usually cut where the light comes out to make the diamonds sparkle more, but black diamonds are almost the opposite. Black diamonds don't really sparkle because they are more dense and the light doesn't have much room to bounce around. They are worth the same as lighter diamonds, but tend to not be as popular because of their lack of sparkle factor. If you're not into sparkle and glitter, though, these diamonds may be perfect for you. I find them sophisticated and unique and perfect for someone looking for a different kind of ring.
